Ronnie D. Brooks

Ronnie D. Brooks, 65, of Amarillo, died Friday, January 8, 2021. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Lifeway Fellowship Church, 3315 Hancock St. with Dr. Randy Davis officiating. Ronnie was born December 28, 1955 in Amarillo to Bob and Sharon Brooks. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1974, and attended Amarillo College. He married Loretta Leithauser on August 8, 1974. Ronnie worked for Plains Chevrolet and Greg Lair Buick GMC in auto sales. He and Loretta have been faithful members of Lifeway Fellowship Church for 40 years. In his spare time, Ronnie enjoyed fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ricky Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Brooks; a son, Jason Brooks and wife Mary Liz of Canyon; a daughter, Sissy Wright and husband Ricky of Bushland; a sister, Rhonda Brooks and husband Bryan Graham; and four grandchildren, Lauren and Colin Brooks, and Jared and Jaycie Wright. The family suggests memorials may be made to Lifeway Fellowship Church, 3315 Hancock St. Amarillo, TX 79106.
