Ronnie Dale "R.C." Coburn

Ronnie Dale “R.C.” Coburn, 71, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Pastor Jim Shelburne officiating.

Ronnie was born April 7, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Denford and Velma Coburn. He attended Amarillo College, and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Ronnie went on to work for Asarco for over 35 years, retiring in 2015. In his spare time, Ronnie enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He built cabinetry, welded, did plumbing, and was a mechanic. Ronnie worked on boats and cars, and could fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed family ski trips. Most especially, he loved being “Gampa” to his favorite person, his precious granddaughter, Madison. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded parents; and his sister, Kay Halford.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Coburn; his son, Cody Coburn (Christin Daniel) of Amarillo; his nephew, Shane White (Jinger); a niece, Shanon Vanover (Michael); and his granddaughter, Madison.
