Roscoe "R.C." Loyd

Roscoe "R.C." Loyd, 78, of Amarillo, died Sunday, October 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday at Northside United Pentecostal Church, 2424 N. Mirror St. with Rev. Rodger Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield. R.C. was born May 15, 1940 in Hollis, Oklahoma to William and Victoria Loyd. He worked at Popeyes Chicken, and also as a handyman for many years. R.C. enjoyed reading his Bible. He was fiercely protective of his family. He was outgoing, friendly, and never met a stranger. R.C. loved to eat! He was a longtime member of Northside United Pentecostal Church. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Virginia Gaines. Survivors include two nephews, Charley Tiggs and wife Susan of Saginaw, and Gregory Tiggs and wife Felicia of Dalhart; caregivers, Nola Austin and Shasati Luckey; a special friend; and numerous cousins. The family suggests memorials be made to Daybreak Community, #5 Medical Dr. Amarillo, TX 79106.
