Roy Beghtel

Roy Beghtel, 68, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday December 1, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington Street. Those wishing to pay their final respects to Roy may do so on Monday December 4, 2023 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Roy was born on September 29, 1955 in Canadian to Arden and Annie Beghtel. He married Carla on February 9, 1980. Together they have celebrated over 43 years of marriage. Roy worked as a Supervisor at the Nichols power station for Xcel Energy for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, loved playing golf and was a diehard Cowboys fan.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carla Beghtel of the home; four sons, Brandon Beghtel and wife Shaye, Cody Beghtel and wife Jessica, Jeremy Beghtel and wife Tiffany and Ryan Beghtel and wife Holly all of Amarillo; ten grandchildren, Braylee, Braxton, Brielle, Bryar, Caden, Kay-Lynn, Haylie, Savanna, Peyton and Alliah; one brother, Allen Beghtel and wife Suzanne of Bedford and one sister, Lou Ann of Amarillo.
