Roy was born January 16, 1932, in Haskell, TX, to S.O. and Erna Holloway. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. A talented man, would be an understatement, as he was great at doing anything involving his hands. From building modified race cars to restoring antique cars, making gold jewelry and writing poems. There wasn't much he couldn't do. He even built his home, but what he enjoyed most of all, was his sons, grandchildren and many friends. He retired from the post office, with over 20 years of service, and was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Wellington Care Center, Collingsworth General Hospital and Dr. Nickens. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry Holloway and two brothers, C.O. and Delbert Holloway.
He is survived by his wife, Katie; his sons, Rusty Holloway and wife Magda of Albuquerque and Mike Holloway and wife Rita of Amarillo; also surviving him are five grandchildren, Cole, Micah, Ryan, Chase and Carson.
