Roy Clifton Pepper

October 12, 1928 — August 14, 2016

Roy was born October 12, 1928 in Wheeler County, to Tom and Lottie Pepper. He served his country in the army air corps at the end of WWII. On November 18, 1950, he married his sweetheart, Johnye Smith in Clayton, New Mexico. Together, they have lived in Amarillo since 1980. He retired from Copolymer and truly loved his coworkers. They loved square dancing, as well as, any dancing and bowling. He also coached little league for several years. He was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church for 28 years. His last six years have been spent at the Thomas E. Creek VA Center, were he considered everyone there, his family. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Johnye; his children, Roy Don Pepper and wife Kathy, Cindy Nobles and husband Mark all of Amarillo, and Randy Pepper and wife Kelli of Greeley, CO; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
