Ruby Jeanette "Jean" Gatlin Woolsey

Ruby Jeanette Gatlin Woolsey, 79, of Amarillo, better known as Jean to her family and friends, was born on August 17, 1938 in Jack County, Texas. She left her home, on her birthday, August 17, 2017. Jean was a colorful, full of life person. She had a special place in her heart for each and every one of her many grandkids. She felt very blessed by all her friends, and would always try to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by five daughters, Judy Dowse and husband Lee of Canyon, Janet Slaughter and husband Mike of Pawhuska, OK, Jacki Ferguson and husband Jeff of Bastrop, Jeri Eder and husband Don of Amarillo, and Shannon Adams and husband Kennith of Canyon; ten grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Sharon and Rodney Farber. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Ivan "Curly" Gatlin, her mother, Minnie Lee Gatlin, a sister, Ann Platt Mitchell, and a grandson, Tyson Lee Adams.
