Rudene Leach Jefferson

Rudene Leach Jefferson, 86, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday March 10, 2022. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Friday March 18, 2022 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3500 Bowie Street, with Pastor Leah Lawson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Rudene was born on June 20, 1935 in Clayton, New Mexico to Rudolph and Faye Sanchez. She married Raymond Leach in 1957. Most of her life, Rudene worked as a Nurse from 1979 - 1990 in the panhandle area. She spent most of her time at Northwest Texas Hospital and served several local private physicians. Rudene enjoyed traveling, Playing golf and long walks. She was an avid movie watcher. Among her many travels, Rudene mostly enjoyed cruising in the Mediterranean and Caribbean and going to Germany. She was loved by so many and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Raymond Leach.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Leach and wife Jana of Amarillo, and Michael Leach and wife Erin of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister, Pat Brinkerhoff of Parker, Colorado; four grandchildren, Clint Graves and wife Amber of Austin, Coby Leach and Fiancé Kristina of Dallas, Amanda Leach of Lubbock and Kanan Leach of Birmingham, Alabama; two great granddaughters, Piper and Riley Graves.
