Russell Webb

September 25, 1983 — September 6, 2023

Amarillo

Russell Webb, 39, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on September 6, 2023. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 16, 2023 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy Rd. with pastors Shawn Freeby and Alan Wilson officiating. The family requests you wear your favorite baseball shirt/uniform or your “Muscle Behind Russell” shirts with jeans. The family will receive friends on Friday September 15, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Russell was born on September 25, 1983 in Canyon to Kerry and Bobbie Webb.  He attended Amarillo High School and was a proud Sandie, class of ’02. Russell married his sweetheart, Tiffany, on July 7, 2007. Together they celebrated sixteen years of marriage. Russell lived for baseball and enjoyed playing in his band “Thorton Rhodes” as the drummer. He was an avid sports fanatic who spent much of his free time coaching his own son’s sports teams; “Texas Rampage” and the “Amarillo Sand Gnats”. If he wasn’t on the baseball field, he enjoyed time with family and friends and working on his 4Runner. Russell loved people and his smile was almost as bright as his Christmas decorations. He was known endearingly as Dad, Babe, Rascal, Coach, and Rooski to name a few. He was loved by so many, and will be deeply missed.

Russell was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, “Granny” and “Pepock” Ina and Bob Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tiffany Webb and their two sons Bryon and Brody Webb; his parents, Kerry and Bobbie Webb of Amarillo; one sister, Trisha Myers and her husband Tyson of Amarillo; one brother, Brady Webb and wife Lisa of New Home; his grandparents, Loana Webb and Bill and Pauline Webb all of Amarillo; his parents-in-law, Jim and Pamela Pleming of Amarillo; brothers-in-law, Jason Pleming and wife Brandi of Puerto Rico, Tyler Baker and wife Kelley of Ulysses, Kansas and Tim Baker and wife Erica of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Jara Houghton and husband Johnathan of Amarillo; nieces and nephews, Keeler, Madden, Alexander, Kallahan, Annalynn, Asher, Phoenix, Kleat, Luka, Grant and Andi Lane. Survivors also include a host of extended family, countless friends and beloved co-workers at Border States.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to support the care of Russell’s two boys. Donations can be made to the Russell Webb benefit account at Amarillo National Bank or can be Venmoed to @Tiffany-Webb-42 (last 4 digits of phone number 2410)

The family would like to invite friends and family to join them at the Amarillo High baseball field at 6:00 pm on Saturday to fellowship and enjoy baseball food.
