Sally Joanne Blankenship (Von Glahn)

February 10, 1953 — May 26, 2023

Amarillo

Sally Joanne Blankenship (Von Glahn), age 70, beloved friend, mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, May 26th, 2023. Sally was born Sally Hoppenjan in Hazel Green, Wisconsin on February 10th, 1953.

Sally did not know a stranger and if were you blessed enough to be called her friend she held you very close to her heart and you became an extension of her family. She left an impression on everyone she came in contact with, her infectious laugh, broad smile and witty banter, made her someone we all loved. Sally was a spirited woman who enjoyed reading, watching Westerns, spending time with friends & family, drinking beer and shouting at the TV whenever the Green Bay Packers were playing, “Go Pack Go!”

Sally will be missed tremendously by not only her immediate family but also by those who she came to call sister or best friend. She leaves behind her; older brother, Tom, sister, Barbara, and 2 younger sisters; her daughter Tori, son Kirk, and daughter-in-law Lindessa; her grandchildren, Alexus, Jayce, Ethan, Jaden, Celeste, and Kole as well as her great-grandchildren Kash, Imani and unborn baby boy Rahkeim.

Sally will be cremated per her wishes and a Life Celebration will be held on, Sunday, June 4th, 2023 at The Elks Lodge, 932 Clyde St in Amarillo from 3-6pm.
