Sam Rambo

Sam Rambo, 66, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday March 3, 2020 at his home. No services are scheduled at this time, cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Sam was born August 5, 1953 in Shreveport, LA to Jennie Wells Rambo and Elnora Blaise. He grew up close to his family, and especially enjoyed time with his cousins. Sam enjoyed cooking out on the grill. He was an excellent cook. He married his sweetheart Lisa on January 29, 1993 they spent 34 years together and just celebrated 27 years of marriage. Sam’s son Brad was the focus of his life, and he was very protective of him. You could often find Sam riding the lawn mower around the yard; it always made Brad happy. He remained close to his siblings throughout his life, and his wife remembers how fondly he spoke of them.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Johnny Rambo.

Survivors include his wife Lisa Rambo of the home; two sons, Stacy Evans, and Brad Rambo; one daughter, Destiny Rambo; two sisters, Grace Ann Joyce, and Sandra Sue Rambo; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors also include a host of additional family and friends.
