Sandra Boydston

Sandra Boydston, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Corbin Langham officiating.

Sandra was born August 28, 1952 in Ballinger, Texas to Elver and Corky Hilliard. She married her husband Jimmy Boydston in 1968, and together they raised three children, David, Justin and Shana.

Sandra dedicated her life to caring for her family. In addition to that she contributed her talents to the family business, Jim’s Custom Repair & Machine for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper. She also worked at her son’s business, Corn Dog 7 in Westgate Mall. Sandra was a staple at the Tri-State Fair for over 20 years, and sold Legal Shield Insurance for 12 years, which she enjoyed very much.

In her spare time, Sandra loved cooking, especially for her family, including throwing large family parties by the pool. She enjoyed entertaining and playing card games with friends. To say she loved animals would be an understatement. Sandra also enjoyed attending Westview Christian Church.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Boydston; a sister, Diane Sheffield; and a brother, Felton Hilliard.

Survivors include two sons, David Boydston and wife Jenny of Fulshear, TX, and Justin Boydston and wife Ashley of Amarillo; a daughter, Shana Langham of Amarillo; a sister, Betty Ellis and husband Keith of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Kelly Hilliard and wife Barbara of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Bayler Boydston and wife Avery, Becklee Simpson and husband Keith, Berrilyn Boydston, Hunter Boydston, Timberly Boydston, Corbin Langham and wife Marian, Dalton Langham and Kolt Langham; and one great-grandson, Jacks Boydston.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Amarillo SPCA, at 11901 Coulter St S, Amarillo, TX 79119.
