Sandra Kay Mclean

Sandra “Sandi” Kay McLean 71, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 16, 2020.

Sandi was born September 21, 1948 in Burlington, Iowa, to Harlan McLean and Virginia Lindquist.

A memorial service in Sandi’s honor will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Cole presiding, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX, 79109. Services will be live-streamed, please visit www.coxrowleyfuneralhome.com and follow the link provided.

Sandi very much loved to cook and was amazing at it! She enjoyed preparing food for others. She was an avid gardener and loved her dog “Bear.” Sandi was a thoughtful caring individual who liked to help people. Those attributes served her well in her Medical Transcriptionist position at the Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic. She also enjoyed her experience while working at the Texas Panhandle Community Action Corporation.

Left to cherish her memories are her dear children, Mark (Robin) Young, Kristi (Jonathan) Isaacs; a dear daughter in-law Denise Young; her beloved siblings, Gary McLean, Nancy (Steve) Tipton; 12 loved Grandchildren; 10 treasured Great Grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and other family and friends survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Chris Young.
