Sara "Lynn" Ann Sullivan

Sara Ann Lynn Sullivan, 79, passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2018. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Polk Street Methodist Church Chapel at 2pm. Sara was born February 9, 1939 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Vera and William Leon Lynn. She married Bobby Sullivan on December 22, 1962 in Amarillo. Sara was a beloved second grade teacher for the Amarillo Independent School District for 30 years. She taught at Eastridge Elementary for 16 years before moving to Belmar Elementary. Sara was a member of Polk Street Methodist Church since 1951, where she played the organ and piano. She was a long time member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and Stars Choir in her later years. Sara was known as a strong woman of faith with a great sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her parents precede Sara in death. Sara is survived by her husband Bobby, sister Betty Smith and her husband Scott, her nephew Daniel Smith of Amarillo, nieces Jeanene Smith Harvey of Austin, TX and Sandra Kay Giffen of Kingwood, TX.
