Setsuko K. Ackerman

Setsuko was born on January 15, 1932 in Kobe Japan to Gentaro and Nui Kinoshita. She moved to the United States in 1962, where she married Paul Ackerman on June 21, 1963 at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Together they moved to Amarillo in 1979, where Setsuko worked for Amarillo Hardware for over 15 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. Setsuko was known to be thoughtful, giving and generous to anyone in need. She enjoyed traveling in her spare time with her husband Paul, especially to Hawaii. She is survived by her husband, Paul Ackerman of Amarillo; son, Frank Ackerman and wife Rachele of Morton, Illinois; daughter, Kim Fingers and husband Tim of Pittsburgh, PA, IL; son, Mike Ackerman and wife Patti of Bloomington, IL; sister, Kimiko of Kyoto, Japan; brother, Yoshimasa Kinoshita and 8 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Nolan, Ryan, Jake, Alexis, Madelyn and Michael Dean. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Katsumi Kinoshita.
