Sharon Mclaughlin

Sharon was born on January 1, 1956 in Borger to W.E. "Bill" and Sarah Hicks. She was raised in Borger, where she graduated from Borger High School in 1974. She moved to Amarillo in 1980, where she worked as a secretary for Merchant Freight Line, for Chaparral Cleaners and eventually for Greenspan Douglas Collections which became BARR Collections, where she was currently employed. She was a devoted mother, working tirelessly to provide for her children. She was known to be a prankster and was quick-witted and intelligent. Above all, she loved her family. She loved being "Aunt Cher" to her nieces and nephews and made many memories making Christmas cookies with them. Sharon was a devoted member of the Amarillo First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her daughter, Tia Haseloff of Muleshoe; son, James McLaughlin of Liberal, KS; 2 sisters, Debbie Gillispie and husband David of Amarillo, Betty Lou Collins and husband Terry of Fritch; 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents.
