Sharon (Pugh) Rawlins

Sharon Pugh Rawlins passed away on April 22, 2020 at BSA Hospice in Amarillo, Texas after a long hard- fought battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas, under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, friends are encouraged to gather at the cemetery but remain in their vehicles. Sharon's most proud accomplishments were her two girls, Tami Pugh and Teri Pugh Vestal. She married Budge Rawlins January 23, 2015 and they lived in Perryton. Sharon was born May 23, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to Leona Ford Gage and Jerry Thomas Gage. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1965. Sharon was a beautiful woman. She always had a smile on her face and always wore her red lipstick. She was fun-loving with an infectious laugh. She was a talented seamstress and an excellent cook. She loved people and made many friends along the way. She remained positive even in the toughest times. Her friends would tell you that she always gave good, solid advice. Sharon wants her friends and family to know that she is at peace and is celebrating big in Heaven! Sharon is survived by lots of family who loved her deeply. Survivors include her husband; her daughter Tami Pugh and Jill Remy of Amarillo; daughter Teri Vestal and Cole Vestal of Lubbock; two grandsons, Trey and Tripp Vestal, of Lubbock; son Doug and Shelly Rawlins of Stratford and their children Annsley, Kennedi and Andrei; sons Colt Rawlins and Cameron Rawlins of Perryton; her brother, John Gage of Oklahoma City; and her aunts Mrs. Kenneth (Sammy) Ford of Boerne, Texas, Mrs. Tommy (Deeda) Ford, of San Antonio, Mrs. Joan Gaines of San Antonio and Mrs. Lorella Read of Ringold, Texas. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Ford Gage of Amarillo, and father, Jerry Thomas Gage. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Circle of Friends in Perryton (C/O Melodee Rogers 1905 Texas Perryton, Texas 79070) or to your favorite charity.
