Sharon was born on August 28, 1944 in Wellington to Dan and Tommie Jo Simmons. She moved to Amarillo as a child, where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1962. She began employment with the Civil Service at a young age, retiring after 30 years of service. During her employment she met her husband Skip. They were married on August 24, 1965 in Amarillo. After retirement from civil service, Sharon enjoyed RVing with Skip and was a talented crafter and especially loved her dogs, Chloe and Coco, cross stitch and Bible journaling.
She is survived by her husband, Skip; 2 sisters, Sharlet Simmons and Sandy Stacy; mother-in-law, Verla Main; niece, Crystal Messer and her family; nephew, John Stacy and many friends and extended family members, all of Amarillo who loved her dearly.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brent and her father-in-law, Houston Main.
