Shelley D. Stanton

Shelley D. Stanton, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2022.

Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at The Loft Church, 4400 Georgia St.

Shelley was born on July 29, 1950 in Logan, Utah to William and Peggy Douglass. Shelley grew up in Bountiful, Utah and moved to Amarillo in 1969.  She worked for many years as an administrator at both Amarillo College and Panhandle PBS. Shelley enjoyed many things including cooking, creating beautiful works of art, snapping pictures of her cat Buster and spending time with her beloved husband Dale Stanton whom she married on December 20, 2008.

Shelley was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Douglass. She is survived by her father, William B. Douglass Jr.; her husband, Dale Stanton; her son, Chris Bennett, and her five younger brothers, Bill Douglass, Michael Douglass, Steven Douglass, Paul Douglass and Richard Douglass.
