Sherryl Lytle Wilhelm

Sherryl Lytle Wilhelm, 64, died Monday, March 10, 2014. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Sherryl was born Jan. 19, 1950, in Borger to Jim and Dewolene Lytle, along with her twin sister Carol Adams, three minutes apart. The twins shared a large doll collection that they enjoyed in their childhood years. At age 14, they obtained their driver's licenses and took part in school dances at Teen Town. Dragging Main street with a carload of friends while listening to "Downtown" was a favorite pastime. They moved from Borger to Amarillo at 16, and at 17, took in best friend, Tess Lawson. Soon following, their separate journeys of life began. Survivors include her parents, Jim and Dewolene Lytle; a sister, Carol Adams; two children, Tami and Brian Wilhelm; two grandchildren, D.J. and Joaquin Wilhelm; and three nephews, Shane, Matt and Jeff Adams. The family suggests memorials be to Multiple Sclerosis Society Panhandle Chapter, 6222 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX 79109.
