Silas Ray Burleson

Silas Ray Burleson, 7, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Redeemer Christian Church, 3701 Soncy, with Pastor David A. Ritchie and Pastor Jacob C. Cates officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Silas was born October 1, 2014 in Amarillo to John and Venessa Burleson.  He was in the first grade at Gene Howe Elementary School. Silas loved going to church. He enjoyed going to zoos-any zoo, anywhere! He enjoyed swimming, and especially riding horses at the equine therapy center. Silas was a big Avengers fan, and loved going to the movies with his Mom. He adored his “Princess Sophia”, his baby cousin. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. If you attend the service, please wear one of Silas’ favorite colors, purple or green, or your “Super Silas” T-shirt if you have one, in honor of him.

Survivors include his parents, John and Venessa Burleson; his brother, Raiden Burleson; his grandparents, John D. Burleson and Leah West, Sherri and Corey Sams, Lori and Hank Keltner, and Reyes and Jolyn Estrada; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
