Stephanie Dawn (Murphy) Jackson

Stephanie Dawn Jackson, 50, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Temple Baptist Church, 3208 S. Van Buren St. with Neil Hall officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Stephanie was born June 10, 1975 in Amarillo, Texas to Eddie and Debbie Murphy. She graduated from River Road High School in 1993 and went on to earn her CNA certificate. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She was a Starbucks barista at United Supermarkets, which resulted in a life-long affinity for great coffee. She loved her job and her customers loved her.

In her spare time Stephanie enjoyed going to concerts and taking trips home to Amarillo to visit family. She loved to blast her favorite music of many different genres. Stephanie had an outgoing personality and an incredible sense of humor, even during the difficult days of her cancer fight. She was nicknamed “Stefunny” by nursing staff at the hospital; it was a fitting name that stuck. She was a true people person and never met a stranger. Stephanie adored her kids and she loved when they would just cuddle together and watch a movie. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Murphy; and her grandparents, Ted and Irene Hantsche, Jr. and Agnes Brumfield, and Mike and Mary Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Janessa Jackson and Kaylynne Jackson both of Norman, OK; her father, Eddie Murphy (Debbie) of Amarillo; and five siblings, Stacy Murphy of Dumas, Janet Hall (Erin McKnight), Blair Hall (Chantil), Neil Hall (Brandy), and Amber Stark (David) all of Amarillo.
