Stephanie Orcutt

Stephanie Orcutt, 67, of Amarillo, passed away on November 22, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 Soncy, with Pastor Craig Albracht officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Stephanie was born September 19, 1955 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Stephen and Judith Fagin. She graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, and went on to earn her degree as a certified surgical tech from Amarillo College. She married Jim Orcutt on November 20, 1973, at Fort Carson, Colorado. They had just celebrated 49 years of marriage. Stephanie worked as a surgical tech for St. Anthony’s Hospital and BSA Hospital. She also taught in the surgical tech department at Amarillo College for several years, retiring in 2008. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoyed her activities at the Khiva Shrine, where she was a member and past Queen of Avihk Temple of Daughters of the Nile; she also worked with the Shriners Hospitals for Children. She loved going to casinos, and also to the mountains in Colorado, where she enjoyed fishing and spending time at their family cabin. She and Jim had an RV, and enjoyed travelling together with their dogs.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Elizabeth Fronek.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Orcutt; two sons, Stephen Orcutt and wife Michelle, and Willis Orcutt all of Amarillo; a sister, Jenny Lynn Fagin of Penrose, CO; five grandchildren, Whitley Orcutt, Kylie Orcutt, Jacob Orcutt, Decatur Orcutt and Coy J’Mae Orcutt.
