Stephen Dale Hansen

Stephen Dale Hansen passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 70. He was born on November 5, 1955 in Estherville, Iowa to Barbara J. (Smith) and Dale E. Hansen.

Steve grew up on the farm in Armstrong, Iowa, graduating from Armstrong High School. He attended Iowa State University where he met his wife, Valerie, both members of the ISU Trap and Skeet Team. They were married on September 3, 1977, in Ames, Iowa. In 1982, Steve and Valerie moved to Amarillo, where Steve worked as a Construction Supervisor until retirement. Daughter, Brittany Jean was born in 1983.

Steve is proceeded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie of Amarillo; his daughter, Brittany (Hansen) Coombes and husband Anthony (Tony) of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Caden and Asher; sister Deborah Morgan of Sioux City, Iowa; several beloved cousins.
