Steve Phillips, 74, of Amarillo, died Friday, December 29, 2017. Steve was born October 21, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Louis and Margaret Phillips. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He has been a master plumber for the last 41 years in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Phillips; two sons, Aaron Phillips of Amarillo, and Bryan Phillips of Temple; one daughter, Gina Drake of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Tosha Ratzlaff and husband Jeremy, Stormie Sanchez, Tomas Sanchez III and wife Tyler, Kurstie Phillips and husband David Soto, Jeremy Phillips, and Hunter Pennington; three great-grandchildren, Corie, Rylee, and Scarlett; four step-granddaughters; and numerous foster children throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Panhandle Child Placement Services, 112 SW 8th Ave, Ste 400, Amarillo, TX 79101.
