Steven “Cowboy Steve” Eugene Tillerson was born October 30, 1956, in Memphis, Texas and passed away on December 22, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas. In honor of his wishes there will be no viewing or services.

Steve was a husband, father, grandfather, and a Christian. Steve was a jack of all trades owning a restaurant, bar, and hat shop as well as spending time as an EMT. Steve’s most memorable job of his life was the time he spent serving in the United States Air Force as a missile technician in Minot, North Dakota. Steve always had a dream of winning the lottery and using the winnings to help third world countries and spread the Word of God. One of his other passions was watching old Western shows and talking about how he wanted to live on a ranch and be a cowboy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Bonita Jewel Polk and Harry Tillerson both of Amarillo.

He is survived by his wife Karen of Wildorado, two children; Josey and Joshua of Amarillo, three grandchildren; Clayton, Lily, Weston, Aubrey, Ethan, and Riley, two sisters; Karen of Austin and Serena of Amarillo, his brother David of Austin, nieces, and nephews; Jason, Joana, Jennifer, Joseph, and Hayden.
