Sue Batchelor

Sue Batchelor, 82, of Amarillo passed away on December 14, 2022. Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM Friday December 16, 2022 at Llano Cemetery with Ross Forney officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Sue was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 01, 1940 to Burton and Eva Roach. Sue’s family moved her to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. She attended Hot Springs High School and from a young age, she loved horses and ranching. In her later years, Sue worked hard doing a variety of professions including ranching. She also raised and trained show dogs. Throughout her life, Sue continued horseback riding, loved spending time with dogs and especially enjoyed fishing. She was loved by everyone she met and was always opening her heart and home to those that needed help. Sue saw the good in everyone and had a very trusting spirit.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim Wiley Beasley.

Survivors include her two sons, Ross Forney (Darla) of White Deer and Todd Thurman; her daughter, Nita Rockwell of Canadian; one brother, Jim Roach (Maxine); five grandchildren, Mellissa Bostic (Mike), Dustin Forney (Caylie), Teak Forney (Tori), Teal Forney and Teagan Forney; 10 great grandchildren, Jordyn, Kamryn, Madison, Jace, Jacelynn, Brilynne, Legend, Justyce, Lawson and Pierce.
