Sue Thaxton

Sue was born October 1, 1938 in San Antonio, to Emmett and Opal McClenny. She graduated from Canyon High School and studied nursing at Amarillo College, retiring from the VA Medical Center. She married Clinton Thaxton in Amarillo on April 4, 1958. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Hillside Christian Church, and the Hill Toppers. She was a very upbeat, beautiful optimistic spirit and a forgiving person, whom never lost her faith in the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clinton, and a brother, Mark McClenny. She is survived by her children: Vincent Thaxton and Sabrina Kleinpeter and husband Chris; 3 grandchildren: Sabra, Madison, and McKenzie Thaxton; a sister: Rheanea King and husband Jim, and a sister-in-law: Linda Artz, as well as many nieces and nephews.
