Susie Brown

Susie Brown, 62, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday July 10, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Susie was born November 13, 1958 in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from Tascosa High School, and went on to earn her Associate degree in Art. She worked for the railroad as a conductor for 16 years. Susie started dating Terry Scott on Valentine’s Day, and they have enjoyed the last 15 years together. In her spare time, Susie enjoyed painting and became quite good at it, even with no lessons. She was a very talented writer, and she also loved riding her motorcycle. Susie was a red-head with a fiery personality to go with it. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Marilyn, Carolyn and Joan.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Scott; her daughter, Stephanie Stokes of Amarillo; two sisters, Lynne Dombrosky and husband Joe of Clearwater, FL, and Becky Lavender of Amarillo; her brother, Angus Brown and wife Janet of Rosharon, TX; and two grandchildren, Lily Bynum and Will Stokes.
