Terri Denise Cameron, 62, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 with her family and best friend at her side. Terri’s life will be joyfully celebrated this summer with friends and family in her favorite place- Red River, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Terri was born on February 3, 1959 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Weldon and Patricia Atwood. She was a woman of many interests and talents who enjoyed traveling with her devoted husband of 42 years, caring for her plants and lemon tree, and spoiling her cat, TJ. Ted, as she was known by those closest to her, had a passion for online gaming that allowed her to spend time with friends and family from afar, especially her two grandsons to whom she was especially devoted. Terri loved all kinds of music, from Neil Diamond to Metallica and was an avid hockey fan who enjoyed attending games whenever possible.
But above all, Terri cherished her family and dedicated her life to caring for them. She will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved her.
Terri was preceded in death by her grandparents and mother, Patricia Atwood. She is survived by her husband, Donald Cameron; daughter Stephanie Cameron; son Steven Cameron and wife Rachel; father Weldon “Buddy” Atwood; brother Russell Atwood; two grandsons Jack and Ben Cameron, as well as numerous extended family members.
Terri had a generous heart and donated to many worthy causes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions go to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Hospital, High Plains Food Bank or another favorite charity.
