Terry Amburn

Terry was born February 25, 1950 in Floydada to Elizabeth and Glen Amburn. He had a lifelong career in broadcasting, starting in Tulia at KTUE. He worked for several radio stations in Amarillo including KBUY-KDJW and was a longtime sportscaster for KVII. After a break from broadcasting, he returned to radio in advertising at KGNC. He loved golfing, country music, good stories, family and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Temperance Amburn in 2014. He is survived by his children, Rhett Amburn and wife Aty, Cole Amburn and wife Echo all of Amarillo, and Lacey Amburn of Canyon; grandchildren, Kelly-Ann, Luke, Dakota and Constance; the mother of his children, Nancy Amburn of Amarillo; his siblings, Ron Amburn and wife Kathy of Canada, and Jay Amburn of Dumas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends.
