He was raised on various ranches where his parents Liz and Dayne Piper instilled in him a love for cooking and horses. He was a graduate of Paducah High School and briefly attended Sul Ross University. He married the love of his life, Brenda Watson on August 3, 1973 in Paducah. They lived in Paducah for many years as well as Weatherford, OK, before settling in Amarillo in 1986. They moved to Valle De Oro in 2006. He worked as a truck driver for many years, having driven for various companies, including Estes Express, Plains Transportation, Baldwin Trucking, and M & X Express Services. He also owned and operated Big T Welding. Terry was a hard-working man who lent his hand to many things, including cowboying, welding, water maintenance, and truck driving. He was a talented cook and especially enjoyed BBQ and chuck wagon style cooking. He was an avid reader, who also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding, and roping. Terry most of all enjoyed time spent with his family, and the western way of life. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers-in-law, Steve Sellers, Steve Votaw, and Frank Watson. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hill of the home; a son Brendan "Bubba" Hill of Valle De Oro; a daughter, Terralyn Miles and husband Jonathan of Wheeler; two sisters, Linda Votaw of Paducah, and Sadie Spitzer of Guthrie, TX; a brother Richard Piper of Roaring Springs; his grandson and favorite domino partner JD Miles; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins (Y'all, there's a ton of 'em!); and of course his beloved church family and "church babies". The family suggests memorials be made to Triumphant Truth Children's Ministries, 1701 S. Manhattan St., Amarillo, TX 79103.
