Terry Slade

Terry Slade, 59, of Amarillo, died Monday, January 8, 2018. There are no services scheduled at this time. Terry was born October 17, 1958 in Amarillo to Mike and Jody Slade. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, which is where he earned his degree in broadcast engineering. Terry made his career in television, having worked for Channel 4 KACV, and Channel 10 KFDA for over 35 years combined. He was very involved with the Golden Spread Council of Boy Scouts of America. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Slade, and by his grandparents, Jay and Noma Evans. Survivors include his mother, Jody Slade of Amarillo; a brother, Bobby Slade of Amarillo; a sister, Sheri Slade of Orlando, FL; a nephew, Michael and wife Nicole of Oklahoma City, OK; a niece, Heather Wilson of Orlando, FL; a great-niece, Kaitlyn Slade; and a great-nephew, Zane Michael Slade. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Golden Spread Council- Boy Scouts of America, 401 Tascosa Rd. Amarillo, TX 79124.
