Thomas Herting

Thomas David Herting, 72 of Amarillo passed away April 4, 2022. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Cox Rowley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Amarillo Fellowship Church with Pastor Richie Brown officiating. Funeral service is under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Thomas was born March 13,1950 in Tacoma, Washington to Roy and Ruth Herting. He attended Fife High School where he graduated. He married Ellen Thomas Hopper on April 5, 2003 in Lamesa, Texas. Thomas loved life, he enjoyed meeting new people and caring for anyone and everyone he met. His family meant the world to him, he enjoyed making people laugh. He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his wife Ellen; his children Jeffery, Scott, Thomas Arthur, D’Lynn Justin and Jason. His siblings Jerry, Brad, Kelly and Holly along with many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends.
