Thomas "Tom" Leatherman, 76, of Amarillo died Sept. 17, 2015.
A private memorial service was held at home for family members.
Tom was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Floydada to Carl and Nannie Leatherman. He moved to Amarillo as a child. He served in the National Guard for nine years. He retired from Pepsi after more than 30 years, where he was a warehouse supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Peggy Joyce Leatherman.
Survivors include a daughter, Rene Beery and husband Bryan of Amarillo; three sons, Carl Leatherman of Harlingen, Gary Leatherman and wife Jayme of Fritch and Tommy Leatherman of Amarillo; a sister, Patsy Askew of Amarillo; a brother, John Graves and wife Dorothy of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.
Thomas will be greatly missed and remembered for his story telling and talking, as well as hanging out at Hoots.
