Thomas Schaefer

Thomas Allen Schaefer Sr., age 80, formerly of Brook Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26th, 2020. Dear father of Thomas Jr. (Lisa), Donald, James, Ellen (Randy), Raymond (Ebbe), and Kenneth. Loving grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. Following his retirement from Finast Foods, Tom moved to Texas, to enjoy the warmer climate and be closer to his family that had relocated to the area. Tom enjoyed sitting on his front porch, acting as the unofficial neighborhood watch. He also loved traveling to visit family and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas. Tom was a storyteller, always sharing anecdotes about his childhood, especially ones that involved his siblings and the West Side Market. Per Tom’s wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of his life.
