Tom Dockery

Tom Dockery, 78, died Monday, March 9, 2015. Services will be at funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Jon McKinney officiating. There will be a private burial at Llano Cemetery. Tom was born November 7, 1936 in Gainesville, GA to Earnest and Ruth Dockery. He served in the Air Force and married Betty Henderson on March 13, 1956 while being stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Later he opened his own sign business, Tom Dockery Signs. He had a good sense of humor and he loved life, his family, coffee time with friends, fishing and racing. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Joe Dockery. Survivors include his wife, Betty Dockery; sons Larry and Jimmy Dockery of Amarillo; a son Keith Dockery and wife Diane of Tulsa, OK; a daughter-in-law Lisa Dockery; brothers Bill Dockery and wife Merle, Steve and wife Cindy and sister Phyllis Raef of Amarillo; sister Linda Dexter of Hughesville, MD; sisters Judy Kramp and husband Randy, Carol Kramp and husband Ray of Montello, WI; sisters Teri Mabra, Sue Garcia and husband Joe of Belton, TX; brother Tim Dockery of Temple, TX; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The family suggests donations be made to the High Plains Food Bank or Faith City Mission.
