Washington St. Burial to follow will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2026 at Arena of Life Church.

TJ was born February 5, 1979 to Carol Moore. He grew up in Canyon and attended Randall High School and Canyon High School. He met his wife in Jr. high school but they wouldn’t date until much later in 2002. He married Brandy Lake on July 12, 2003. They were married for 23 years and blessed with two children Cutter Zane Maddox and Callie Jo Maddox. TJ also worked at many of the surrounding feedlots and he made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed working on the LS Ranch for seven years before all the cattle were sold and he moved to Canyon and started working in the pump business. He was with Odessa pumps for 11 years and then he was with his last pump family at Zone Industries for two and a half years as Service Manager. He enjoyed his time there working with Cutter and making close friends.

TJ loved being a father most of all. He was the best softball and baseball dad around going to all the tournaments and waiting patiently! He also enjoyed team roping when he got the chance with the kids and his brother Todd. TJ had picked up a new sport about a year ago and that was playing darts. He loved playing darts on Fridays and Saturdays with his friends. They had just started league on Tuesdays; his team was named “Dartaholics” and TJ was very excited about it. He would always joke and say, “Tell me to ‘shoot good’ because that’s what they say in darts”. TJ had three kids that he loved as his grandkids, Madi, Cooper and Felicity, who knew him as their “Grumpy” and will miss him very much.

Survivors include his wife Brandy; Son Cutter (Cam), Callie (Ian); his mother and step-father, Carol and Garry Moore; his brothers, Lynn (Linda) Roberts, Todd (Lisa) Roberts; his father-in-law, Normal Lake; his sister-in-law, Anne (Neil) Ulmer; nieces, Zoey and Rutha Ulmer; nephews, Spencer, Eric, Cadien, Kyle Roberts; his Nana Lake; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
