Vanessa was born on July 25, 1967, in Missouri to Jerry Clubine and Micalla Lucero. She lived most of her life in Amarillo. Vanessa worked very hard in her life she took care of many people before herself. Vanessa also loved to camp! Vanessa had 6 Children that she loved more than anything! From the time they were born she would make the world stop for kids! When her kids were growing up, she would watch out for everyone's kids, at any given time she could have up to 15 kids in her house. Her house was an open door. If you didn't have food, no worries Momma Nessa had food. If you needed a ride to school, no worries Momma Nessa would take you. You needed a place to sleep no worries Momma Nessa would get you a blanket, and you had a place to sleep. Vanessa always looked out for everyone and everyone's children.
Vanessa had a heart of gold. If you asked her something she would tell you the truth. Sometimes you would regret asking, but she would tell you.
She worked extremely hard to make sure her kids had everything they needed. If you ask her kids to describe their mom, they will say she is sassy, hard headed, selfless, fearless, and warm hearted. Everyone would agree she was loud and crazy, and Vanessa was proud of it! Vanessa was super proud of all of her kids, and their accomplishments. Vanessa wanted to make sure all her kids achieve their dreams, no matter what the cost. When her daughters got married, she was excited because the girls were their husband’s problem now.
If you ask her son-in-laws to describe their mother-in-law in one word, they will say: kind-hearted, stubborn, caring, compassionate, and hard working.
Once her kids were grown and taking care of business, she started working as a caregiver to the elderly. The last 10 years she worked as a caregiver at the Park Central community. If she had a client that lived on a certain floor, she would take care everyone on that floor. Vanessa loved taking care of the elderly, she would tell her children, I like to give back to them, look what they have done for us. She would say one day I am going to be where they are, and I am going to need help. I hope my person is just as kind for me!
Vanessa could make a friend anywhere. Her kids and grandkids would tell her to stop talking, and picking up strangers. Vanessa did not believe in stranger danger. She would tell them everyone could use kindness, and if I can give them a dollar, or something to eat or drink, it’s theirs. I am already blessed with everything I have, and I can give back.
Vanessa had 4 grandbabies, and she was super proud to be a Nanny/Banana. She loved them more than her own kids, and she would let them get away with anything. She had nicknames for all of them. She loved watching her older grandbabies achieve their goals. Vanessa loved her newest grandbaby and was super happy to be a grandma again. If you ask her grandbabies to describe her, they will say she was confident, radiant, fearless, independent, and very generous!
Vanessa is preceded in death by her dad, Jerry Clubine, her oldest son, William Dale Dalrymple, her daughter, Tatyana Lynette McIntyre, her brothers, Larry Dale Clubine, Jerry Clubine, and sister Debbie Clubine; her best friend, Patty Buckley.
