Venita James Hopson

Venita James Hopson was born on June 29, 1937 in Pampa to Otis and Addie James. She graduated from high school in 1955. She married Donald Hopson July 30, 1956. Together they made Amarillo their home in 1959. Venita worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. Upon retirement, she worked for Uniforms Unique for 15 years before working at Kabuki Romanza for a short time. She is survived by husband Donald Lee Hopson; son, Donald Lee Hopson II and wife Sherry of Amarillo; daughter Carola Chaffee and husband Brian Burleson TX; brother, Carrol James; sister Freeda Chaney and brother in law Bill; granddaughter, Megan Chaffee Boone and husband Jesse of Dublin TX, Jenna Chaffee of Burleson and Rachel Hopson of Amarillo; great grandchild, Macyn Boone and bonus great grandchild, Easton Dean; and special friends Marilyn Sherwood and Doyle Oberbeck She was proceeded in death by her parents; grandson Joel Hopson in 1993; and daughter Karen Hopson in 2003.
