Vernon L. Stafford

Vernon was born April 20, 1947 in Amarillo to Russell and Mildred Stafford. He married Rhonda Shook in Dumas on March 20, 1987. He worked as a measurement specialist for BP for over 42 years. Vernon was a member of Grace thru Faith Church in Dumas. His hobbies included baseball, fishing, and tennis, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Stafford and his step-father, Melvin Clawson. He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Stafford; 4 children: Lisa Roberts and husband Ken of Grayslake, IL, Melissa Cavalier and husband Dennis of Dallas, Amanda McLain and husband Jeran of Amarillo, and Brady Rex of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren: Chelsea, Sawyer, Chase, Sheridan, Addison, Dax, Taegan, and Ethan; 3 great grandchildren; his mother: Mildred Clawson of Amarillo; 5 siblings: Vickie Scott of Plainview, Becky Hathaway and husband Mickey of Canyon, Randy Clawson and wife Kay of Oklahoma City, Bobby Clawson and wife Mary of Ore City, TX, and Jimmy Clawson and wife Robin of DeSoto, TX.
