Victor "Vic" Lee Vaughn, 50, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with the Rev. Reed Redus officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Vic was born Nov. 7, 1963, in Amarillo to Verlin and Carol Vaughn. He was raised in Amarillo, where he graduated from Amarillo High School in 1982. He attended classes at Amarillo College and was attending West Texas A&M University, achieving a degree in English.
He worked for various freight companies for more than 20 years.
Vic was an avid music lover and was a member of the band Wilder Brothers. He was a gifted guitarist and played bass guitar. Vic also was an extremely talented writer. He had many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Verlin Vaughn, in 2006.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Vaughn of Amarillo; a brother, Everett Vaughn of Amarillo; a foster brother, Tommie Cannedy of Austin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
