Vincent Paul Salcido Jr.

Vincent Paul Salcido Jr., 69, of Amarillo passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home. Vincent was born October 8, 1948 in Los Angeles, California to Vincent Paul Sr. and Ramona Salcido. He married Eva West on January 5, 2015 in Amarillo. Vincent loved working as a truck driver and driving his semi. He was known as a Christian man who always brought a smile to everyone's face and made people happy. Vincent was a giving person that took pride in his work, life and family. Vincent's hobbies included building things with his hands, watching old movies and taking care of the home. Vince loved taking care of any animals that found him. He would go as far handfeeding injured birds with bread and milk, until they were able to sustain themselves. He loved the funkiest variety of music and dancing in the living room. Vince adored his family and kept in touch with daily phone calls. Vincent is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Camila Givens Garcia Mixon. He is survived by his wife, Eva Salcido; sons, Vincent Paul Salcido III, Vernon Salcido, Santino Salcido, Andres Flores and Rudy Flores Jr.; daughters, Jessica Salcido, Mary Whittington, Bryanna Herman, Tina Salcido, Brooke Flores and Kylee Flores; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
