Virgil Geopfert

Virgil Geopfert, 83, of Amarillo died Monday January 15, 2018. There are no services scheduled at this time. Virgil was born April 4, 1934 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Charlett Allen in 1969 in Reno, Nevada. He worked for many years as an installer for AT&T. Many of those years were in California. He moved to Amarillo in 1995. He was a member of South Georgia Church of Christ. Virgil was a talented wood worker and enjoyed watching CNN. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters Susan Geopfert and Lecrishia Sellers. Survivors include his wife, Charlett Geopfert; two sons Paul Geopfert and Joe Geopfert of Amarillo; one brother Jim Haunch and wife Maureen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; one sister Janet Geopfert of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and seven grand daughters.
