Virginia C."Mimi" Welch

Mimi was born February 7, 1939 in Fisher County to Eva Dell and Claude Hamilton Gillis. For thirty five years she devoted her life as an LVN and retired from the VA hospital. Her passion was her family, dedicating all of her extra time attending events of her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Velta Hord and son in law Alan Bailey. She is survived by her children, Roland Whitsitt and wife Elvie of Stockton, CA, Shelli Bailey of Achille, OK, Patti Evans and husband Melvin of Banquete, TX and Claudia Wallace of Corpus Christi; her nine grandchildren, Bryan, Meghann, Fharren, Taylor, Shelbi, Rowdee, Kyle, Liam and Casey; her sisters, Lynda Stewart and husband Fred of Amarillo and Billie Ratliff and husband Gary of Pflugerville; also surviving her are a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.
