Wayne Todd

Luther “Wayne” Todd, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2021.  He was born on October 23, 1954, at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.  He attended school in Canyon, Texas and after graduation went to work for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 39 years of service. Wayne was a very kind, generous, and gentle  man. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, father Carrol D. Todd, and daughter Bridget Bailey Nesbit.

He will be dearly missed by his mother Waneta Todd, brothers Robert, Larry and wife Christina Todd, sister Sandra Brinkmeyer, grandsons Aaron and Quincy Nesbit, close family friend Dieter Ahrens, many nephews, and nieces as well as his longtime companion Joyce Wilson and her grandaughters, Tyana and Chardazia.

The family has entrusted the care of their loved one with Cox Funeral Home in Amarillo, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions go to the High Plains Food Bank, https://hpfb.org/ . Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
