William E. "Pete" Phipps

Mr. Phipps was born on October 4, 1927 at McNight. He was the second of seven children born to Amos and Addie Mae Phipps. He moved to East Texas as a child and attended school Kensing. He moved to Wellington as a teenager. And has been a resident over 55 years. He was a truck driver and mechanic for many years. He loved taking care of his dog "PeeWee, his cat and his chickens. He loved watching old westerns and was an avid Texas Ranger Fan. Mr. Phipps was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, A.J. and Everett Deen Phipps.one sister, Silva Burdick. He is Survived by One brother Euris Phipps of Wellington, two sisters, Loretta Ewing and husband Bobby and Zenith Harvey all of Amarillo. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Zella Phipps of Luther, Oklahoma
