Wilma Hall

Wilma Hall, 88, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday August 1, 2024. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Wilma was born in Dalhart, Texas to William and Willie Mae Crisler on November 3, 1935. She married Lawrence “Gene” Hall on November 5, 1955 and together they celebrated over 68 years of marriage. Wilma worked as a teacher in Los Lunas, NM for many years and also drove the school bus. She also served as cook at the hospital for a time and also the high school. Wilma was a talented musician, playing the piano and the organ at church. She loved to cook, enjoyed watching the birds, especially the cardinals and was an avid traveler. Her and Gene enjoyed the mountains most of all and spending time in the country. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her two daughters, Beverly and Pattie Hall and husband, Lawrence “Gene” Hall.

Survivors include her three sons, Fred Hall of Prairie Grove, AR, Calvin Hall and wife Coral of Amarillo and John Hall and wife Adriana also of Amarillo; her three daughters, Bonnie Boardman and husband Jessie of Amarillo, Margaret Ewers and husband Jerry of Stratford and Jane Backstrom and husband Carl of Divide, Colorado; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
