Survivors include two daughters, Teri Roller and husband Tom, and Debbie Kite all of Amarillo; one daughter in law, Suzann Kale of Concord, New Hampshire; one brother, Ray Busby of Sequin, Texas; one sister in law, Nell Kinnard; five grandsons- Ben Trook and wife Shelley, Nick Trook, Andy Roller, Tim Roller and wife Angela, and Dan Roller; and eight great grandchildren, Glori, Gabi, Andi, Justus and Millie Roller; Payton Roller; Evan Roller and Aspen Coleman. Survivors also include nieces and nephews and a host of additional family and friends.

Yvonne was born February 16, 1930 in Stephenville Texas to Evan and Anna Busby. The family moved to Amarillo when she was in her teens. She married her husband Bill Kale on March 4, 1949. They met on a blind date. Employment included Bell Telephone until the 3rd child, Debbie, was born. Homemaking was her forte. Many dresses and costumes were sewed; as well as programs, sports, and school functions attended. There were annual trips to Brownwood Lake for family vacation with lots of relatives. She had many interests and talents - cooking, sewing, arranging flowers, quilting, fishing, and gardening are just a few.

A long time member, Temple Baptist Church received the benefit of her talents over the years. She was assistant librarian, and taught the four year old Sunday school class for many years at the church. She was also a member of their quilting club "Hand in Hand". She loved the Lord and looked forward to reading her Bible and participating in church.

She became “Meme” to 5 grandsons who made for a lot of activity. She and her husband took them fishing regularly to Lake Texhoma. They also owned a trailer at Lake Meredith and the family spent many happy times there. She was always eager to plan and cook for large family gatherings.

Great grandchildren also had the privilege of receiving Meme’s love and time. She looked forward eagerly to seeing them and hearing about their lives. Yvonne “Meme’d” many other people, always with love, concern, and wisdom. After her husband Bill died, a new man entered her life - Mr. Pringles the Shih Tzu. Mr. Pringles was her loving companion through many lonely days.

Yvonne will be missed by many people - our loss but Heaven’s gain.
