Zorah Mae Bartlett

Zorah Mae Bartlett, 83, of Amarillo, died Saturday February 24, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Billy Snider of San Jacinto Assembly of God officiating. Zorah was born August 23, 1934 in Penrose, Colorado to Dale and Marie Bishop. She graduated from Canyon High School. She worked at Citizen's Bank in Pampa before moving to Alabama in 1972, where she worked in banking and real estate. Zorah also lived in Hot Springs, Ark. for a time, where she worked in the hotel business. She moved back to Amarillo in 2005. Zorah was an avid bowler. The family would like to express their love to the Presser family whom Zorah helped care for in the 1960's. Zorah was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Bartlett; and a son, Marvin Dale Thornton. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Shirly and husband Herman of Amarillo; a son, Buddy Curtis Thornton and wife Sharon of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be made to San Jacinto Assembly of God, 400 N. Georgia St., Amarillo, TX 79106.
